Travel Beauty Essentials

The more that I travel, the less and less I bring with me. It’s too much of a hassle to worry about whether items are TSA-proof and honestly, I need more space in my suitcase so I can shop! On my most recent trip to San Francisco, I realized my beauty bag was the most bare-bones it’s ever been. I’m quite impressed with myself, haha. Sharing my travel beauty essentials below in hopes that’ll inspire you to pack lighter than usual.

Megababe Rosy Pits Natural Deodorant

One of my favorite new products is Megababe’s Rosy Pits natural deodorant. My body chemistry is changing so much as I’m getting older (as we’ve learned with my acne), my pits aren’t safe from the wrath! I’ve made it my mission this summer to find deodorants that work for me, both natural and not, and Megababe Rosy Pits is definitely a contender. I’ve been wearing it religiously since Katie graciously gifted it to me a few weeks ago, and I can’t stop raving about it. It smells lovely and not overly empowering, and it seriously lasts all day. The real test has been humid summer days here in NYC and it has passed.

After a discussion with a friend of mine last summer when her mother passed of breast cancer, I started giving natural deodorants a chance. I had an incident where one natural deodorant literally burned the skin off my armpits (seriously I had to walk with my arms up for two days), so I was weary. But Megababe Rosy Pits is the truth. I definitely recommend.

Dermalogica BioLumin-C Serum

As stated in my post last week, this has become my new favorite serum to fight hyperpigmentation scars. I didn’t want to break my routine of applying daily, so I threw this in my bag. I’m glad I did. It was perfect to layer under my moisturizer.

Ahava Extreme Day Cream

This moisturizer is insane. The punch that it packs left my skin feeling so moisturized and so supple, I didn’t want to wear foundation. The combo of the serum and cream left me feeling so fresh-faced. This cream is thick without feeling tacky or leaving behind a grey-white cast. When I travel the water is often harder than my shower at home and I find my skin dries out, so this is coming with me on every trip because I barely felt parched.

hello Charcoal Toothpaste

I have a confession to make…I haven’t used actual toothpaste in about a year and a half. My gums are extremely sensitive and gotten to the point where they were bleeding everyday. Since making the switch to charcoal toothpaste, my gums haven’t bled once and my mouth feels both cleaner and stronger. What I love about hello toothpaste is that it’s not messy like charcoal powders and it doesn’t have a bitter after taste like some other charcoal toothpastes I’ve used. My mouth literally sparkles and shines after brushing with this toothpaste, it’s my new go-to (especially paired with the charcoal brush).

Facial Massager

Between planes, trains, and automobiles our skin takes a beating when traveling. To keep things circulating and to depuff my eyes, I like to bring my facial massager with me to drain my lymph nodes and keep everything moving. I got this simple one from Amazon and I use it every other day after applying my moisturizer.
