I like to keep my summer beauty regimen pretty simple – above all else my skin needs to be hydrated! Pixi Rose Oil Blend has been a life saver since I discovered it last year, and it has been an essential piece of my skin routine for well over ten months. If nothing else, this is the one product I use daily. It even travels with me on vacations – it’s been to Paris, Italy, Mexico, New Orleans and Miami.
Why do I like Pixi Rose Oil?
I’m traditionally oily, which makes my love for this oil confusing. While it is greasy, especially now that it’s summer and humidity is very high, I don’t mind because of how my skin feels. This is the softest, most supple my skin has felt in years. Literal years. I honestly feel like Pixi Rose Oil took some years off my skin! It also has helped clear up a lot of blemishes that I had on my cheeks and chin. Often times people ask me how I get my skin to glow the way it does, I owe it all to Pixi Rose Oil (I’d usually say water and sleep, but I haven’t been getting much of either lately).
Since my skin is oily, I only apply the rose oil in the AM though the packaging says to apply in the AM and the PM. Once a day has been good enough for me. Recently, particularly for my summer beauty regimen, I’ve been applying the Pixi Hydrating Milky Serum at night to combat any dryness. It’s much thicker in consistency, but it definitely gets the job done.
Aside from the magical powers it possesses, the Pixi Rose Oil smells really good. It has a faint scent of pressed roses which I love; it reminds me of a woman of distinction (haha).
What is a Jade Roller?
I just discovered the jade roller this summer and it’s been a game changer. As I’ve gotten older I’ve developed deep grooves in my face under my eyes, right above my cheeks. The area between the bottom of my eye and this groove tend to get very puffy, especially when I’m tired and even more when I’m hot and every part of my body is spreading and swelling (sounds weird, I know, but it’s natural). Jade, known to retain cold temperature, helps tighten pores, improve circulation, and aids in lymphatic drainage which helps to release toxins. This is the perfect instrument for a summer beauty regimen! I like to keep mine in the fridge so it’s extra cold and I roll on my face for about five minutes in the morning. By the end of it, my skin is a little red and flushed but I see (and feel!) a significant difference in my face. Adding to the glow from the rose oil, the jade roller wakes both me and my skin up.
